The Lord told Prophet Elias that on the following day he would stand in His presence.

Many pagans believed in the God of Prophet Elias, including the King. However Jezebel, the King’s wife, wanted to kill Prophet Elias, so he fled into Judea. Prophet Elias experienced deep grief because he failed to eradicate idol worship, and he even asked God to let him die. An Angel of God then came to him and strengthened him to continue on a journey for forty days and nights, where he settled in a cave at Mount Horeb.
